Families And The Chava Resort Go Perfectly Together

Families

Ask the question “What can my family do in Phuket” you may just be surprised at how much is available. Ticking all the boxes when choosing a family holiday destination is a big call but Phuket manages to do so making it a family favourite. You will find that Phuket has everything to keep every member of your family happy no matter their interests: the beach lover, attraction hounds, history buffs, wildlife enthusiasts, foodies, shoppers, spa junkies and sports addicts it’s all here. The following is a just to give you a taste of some of the possibilities and there are plenty more.

Beaches:

Phuket is famous for its beaches along the west coast.  With the current clean up having removed restaurants off the sand and taking the beaches back to there original condition there is now plenty of space for all to relax under the palm trees and then stroll into the warm waters. Surin Beach is arguably one of the nicest beaches on the west coast and is perfect for the whole family to enjoy, whether you’re in the water, building sandcastles, relaxing under an umbrella or sipping cocktails at sunset there is no place like it. But no matter which beach you choose in Phuket you will find crystal clear water, beautiful white sand and yummy local restaurants nearby making anyone a great place to chill out and take a well-deserved rest.

Water Attractions:

Phang Nga Bay The distinctive sheer limestone cliffs that jut vertically out of the emerald green water are a must see and there are many ways to do so such as by Sea Kayaking, boat cruises which can also take you to James Bond (made famous by the movie made here) or to Koh Panyee, the fishing village on stilts. Perhaps a Private Boat Cruise – with great scenery, swimming, snorkelling and deserted beaches suits your mood.  Just choose where you want to go, then pick a day and your picnic hamper, beverages and crew will be ready and waiting for you to board. Phi Phi island there are a variety of ways to get here and plenty of operators to take you.  So make the most of the island and get an early start. Diving – whether it’s a day trip or staying overnight you will see much in the waters around Phuket. Splash Jungle Waterpark exciting water slides, rides and more all in one themed water park great fun for the whole family.

Dinner / Shows / Entertainment:

FantaSea Show With trapeze artists, a cast of hundreds, performing elephants and other animals and an exotic storyline that blends tradition with fantasy you’ll have a wonderful evening. Palazzo Theatre & Restaurant Vividly coloured and bold in design, concept and execution, Palazzo attempts the impossible; to combine goofy light entertainment with serious dining.  They pull it off brilliantly Patong Boxing Stadium One of the most popular spectator sports in Thailand and growing internationally, a night out here is your chance to come and view these athletes in action. Shopping With two major malls Jungceylon in Patong and Central Festival just outside Phuket city you can shop in air-conditioned comfort. With major and local brands there is plenty to select from as well as many restaurants when you need the sustenance to keep going. Local Markets – this is whole different option and all outdoors and many to choose from.  So if you get a chance take a stroll through the stalls filled with colourful fruit and vegetable, snacks, curries, dried food and a whole host of barely recognisable merchandise then onto the T Shirts, jeans, accessories, DVD’s, local handicrafts and so much more.  The atmosphere is fun and busy and the best time to go is in the evenings when its cooler.

History:

Thalang National Museum Established in 1985, here you will see lots of relics from the war as well as some ancient artefacts from old Phuket.  It is an easy walk away from the monument of the Two Heroines. Kathu Mining Museum Phuket would not have its multicultural identity without tin and this museum features displays from tin mine models to a recreated scene in an opium den. Old Phuket Town It was built on riches reaped from Phuket’s tin boom of last century. In this quarter of the town you will see grandiose Sino-colonial mansions, once occupied by Phuket’s tin barons of 100 years’ ago. Phuket Old Town is compact enough to stroll around and there has been a resurgence recently with many interesting shops, cafes and restaurants to explore. Heroines Monument  – King Rama celebrated these two women as national heroines, who singlehandedly led the unsuspecting people of Phuket to a victory over the invading Burmese in 1785, with this amazing memorial statue. Wonderful Wildlife in Phuket: Tiger Kingdom  The cats here are simply magnificent and are bursting with health. So if you ever wanted to get up close to Indochinese tigers in varying sizes this is the place to go. Cobra Show & Snake Farm Watch as seemingly fearless snake handlers charm, caress, harass and even kiss various species of snakes, including spitting vipers and, most startlingly, king cobras Phuket Aquarium Thousands of tropical, colourful and exotic marine creatures, where you can come up close and personal with unusual sea life Butterfly Garden & Insect World An interesting number of exhibitions showing the life of insects and butterflies as well as a good collection of various types of insects and arachnoids with rare specimens such as stick insects, tarantulas, leaf insects and scorpions Khao Phra Thaeo Wildlife Centre Set in the beautiful Khao Phra Thaeo Wildlife Park, it is a living study of the Phuket environment. It is a self-contained rain forest and contains many wild animals and species that would otherwise have become extinct in the development of Phuket.
